3 Key areas where India need to step up despite 2-0 lead

Indian team seems to be invisible at the moment. They are outshining their opponents without any difficulty. India had a dominating home season and they are adamant to stop their domination outside the home as well. India lead the 5 match T20I series 2-0 and with only 1 win ensuring the series wrap, they can’t be lethargic at this moment as the Blackcaps are known for their bounce ability and character
Here we look at the the 3 key areas where India needs to be careful to wrap up the series.

Big knock is due from the Indian vice captain
India chased down the target in both the games with negligible contribution from the vice captain Rohit Sharma. Not often we see that happening but it was the case in the last 2 games for India. Rohit’s failure gave Shreyas Iyer a golden chance which he grabbed effortlessly. Although it is important for India to have Rohit Shamra in the form considering the big Test matches and ODIs ahead. It’s high time that Rohit Sharma shows his skill and class in the 3rd game and help India to seal the deal.

Cannot rely on Bumrah for all the games
The world’s best limited overs bowler Jasprit Bumrah was making the Kiwi batsmen to dance to his tunes in both the games so far. The New Zealand batsmen didn’t had any clue on how to attack Bumrah both in the death as well as in the power plays. Indians should be vary of the fact that any bowler can have a rare off day and if Bumrah has an off day in the 3rd game, the other bowlers should come to the party. New Zealanders will be keen to attack Bumrah in the 3rd game to have an early momentum which makes the role of other pacers in the team decisive.

Dropping sitters should be avoided
Indian ground fielding was under the scanner in the west Indies series during the home season but they have developed leaps and bounds since then. Few bad habits seems to be creeping in every now and then when Indians are fielding. The skipper Virat took a blinder of a catch to dismiss Colin Munro but dropped a sitter to give Ross Taylor an other chance. India should completely avoid those to go 3-0 up and wrap the series with 2 games to go.
