The dashing southpaw in Adam Gilchrist is a 3 time world cup winning member of the Australian cricket team and is one of those players who revolutionized the concept of wicket-keeper batsman.
The 2 time world cup winning Indian captain has been one of the greatest ever wicket-keepers to have ever come out from India and arguably the greatest white ball finisher as well. When Gilly was asked to choose one among Mark Boucher, Kumar Sangakkara, Ms Dhoni and Bendon McCullum, he said,

Adam Gilchrist also added that he loved to see the way the former Indian captain and the 3 time IPL winning captain in MS Dhoni handled himself throughout his career.
“I have really loved watching his career develop. He came on the scene with this amazing 100 that just set everyone on loving him and following him and the style of Cricket that he played. But his rise to fame and fortune and everything and the expectation in a country like India that is passionate about so many things certainly Cricket. I think the way he handled himself was extraordinary,” Gilchrist added
MS Dhoni took over as the Indian captain after the debacle of 2007 and the next 6 years was the golden period in the history of Indian cricket as India won almost everything that they played. India won Wt20 in 2007, 50 over world cup in 2011 and champions trophy in 2013. Talking about legacy, Gilchrist said,
His calmness on the field and the bit that I’ve observed and got to know him off the field it’s extraordinary. There is a lot to be admired there. His lasting legacy and impact on Indian cricket and society in India will be long-lasting
