Afghans won the toss and opted to bat first in the second game. Irish made an impressive start as they reduced the visitors 8/2. Hazratullah Zazai once again dazzled with his extraordinary knock of 82(54). The Afghans collapsed from 124/2 to 160/8 with Peter Chase picking 3 wickets.

Ireland stumbled in the chase and was tottering at 9/3 in after the first three overs. W Porterfield and captain G Wilson then stitched a partnership of sort. They were blown away by Rashid Khan and Ireland ended up for 79 all out. Rashid grabbed four wickets while Mujeeb took three.

With series in the bag, AFGH will try to experiment and rotate a few benched players while resting their major players.

Mirwais Ashraf, Gulbadin Naib, Usman Ghani and Farid Malik were all benched in the 2^nd T20I, one or two of them are likely to receive a chance.

Ireland:
Boyd Rankin replaced Tyrone Kane in the last match and took two wickets.
