AUS vs IND Dream 11 Team Prediction for 2nd Test: Preview| Rohit Sharma and R Ashwin out due to Injury

Hello and Welcome to our preview for Australia vs India Test match. We are covering AUS vs IND Dream 11 team Prediction, Preview and Probable Playing XI for the second Test match. The match is to be played at the Perth Stadium, Perth.

First Test at the Adelaide was a cracker but a new challenge awaits the Indian team at the new Australian Test venue. India gained the advantage with the superior batting display in the third inning of the first Test and looked comfortable for a dominating win. However, the Australia tail resisted long to tire out the Indian bowlers. With only three day gap between the games, both the teams will find it difficult to adjust to the harsh conditions of the isolated Perth city.

India realized a historic win at the Adelaide as Virat Kohli became the first Indian captain to win the opening Test of the series in Australia. Pujara was at his mercurial best and Ajinkya Rahane showed glimpses of magical away form.

R Ashwin fulfilled the duty he was assigned and the trio of seamers always kept the Aussies on their toes. Losing Ashwin for this Test will impact the Indian team but the green-top present at the Optus Stadium may turn his absence inconsequential.

The Australians have a lot ponder about. Their top order failed to combat the Indian bowlers and thus lost the match. Knocks from Travis Head and Shaun Marsh stood out along with the stubborn tail. Nathan Lyon was brilliant with the ball but the Indians will get better against him as the series progresses. Pace bowlers will be hoping to make the most of the pace and bounce usually found at Perth.

This will be the first Test match at this venue. The Optus Stadium or the Perth Stadium is the newly built stadium which is nearby the old WACA. It has hosted two ODIs prior to this and Australia lost both of them. Pictures of the pitch have been released and it is a green-top. Teams could think of bolstering their pace attacks for this contest.

India:

India has announced its 13-man squad. Prithvi Shaw (ankle), R Ashwin (Abdominal strain) and Rohit Sharma (Jarred back) are all out due to injuries.

Hanuma Vihari is expected to take Rohit Sharma’s place.

India can go for Ravindra Jadeja or Bhuvneshwar Kumar in R Ashwin’s absence. Looking the at the pitch, India may opt for Bhuvneshwar to make it a four-man pace attack.

India will open with KL Rahul and M Vijay. Pujara-Kohli-Rahane will take up the middle order. Pant will handle the keeping duties.

Shami-Ishant-Bumrah will be the confirmed pace bowlers. Fourth place will be a toss-up between Jadeja and Bhuvi.

Australia:

Australia has confirmed its playing XI and it will remain the same from the Adelaide Test.

Debutant opener Marcus Harris batted well and promised potential. Finch will have to raise his game. Khawaja was troubled by the Indian bowlers in the first Test, he will want to improve. Shaun Marsh batted well in the second dig but he needs to cement his place.

Peter Handscomb and Travis Head will form the lower middle order.

Tim Paine had an issue with his right-hand fingers but he was sure about his participation. He will be the captain and keeper.

The bowling attack of Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon will be back at India’s throat.
