Australia overcame the loss they suffered against Pakistan in the previous encounter and posted a win against Zimbabwe. The good news for the men in yellow was the performances of Travis Head and Glenn Maxwell. They have been heavily dependent on Aaron Finch so far. Bowling effort was good as Tye enjoyed his fourth consecutive three-wicket haul. Stanlake and Jhye Richardson continued the good work.

Pakistan will also be confident because they dominated the Australian team in the last T20I. With Fakhar Zaman’s 73, Pakistan managed to post 194/7 in their first innings. The chase was punctured as soon as Aaron Finch got out and the number one ranked team was clinical thereafter. Pakistan eventually won by 45 runs which is a healthy winning margin.

• The opening conundrum remains unsolved for Pakistan. They dropped Mohammad Hafeez and included Sohail Haris but he has been a disaster too. Pakistan Captain Sarfraz Ahmad confirmed that Sahibzada Farhan will make his debut in the final and will replace Harris Sohail in the team.

AUS:

• Australia handed the debut to Jack Wildermuth in the last match and dropped Darcy Short. Wildermuth bowled only two overs and picked up one wicket. Aus could try Kane Richardson in his place.
• No other changes look possible unless an injury pops up.
