• All-rounder Dasun Shanaka will replace him in the squad after this game.
• Five new faces in the form of Shehan Jayasuriya, Wanindu Hasaranga, Akila Dananjaya, Lahiru Kumara and Dasun Shanaka have been included in the squad as the selectors have made 5 changes from the World Cup squad.

• Opener Tamim Iqbal will captain the side in Mashrafe’s absence.

• The star for Bangladesh in the World Cup all-rounder Shakib Al Hassan will not be available as well for this series due to a finger injury.
