As curtains roll down on the two 4-day match series which saw the visitors Afghanistan A clinching the series by 1-0, both teams will now lock horns in the ODI series which kick-starts from 19th July 2019.
After winning the first 4-day match comprehensively by 7 wickets, the second game saw the two teams settling for a draw after a grueling contest. Rain played its part in the majority of the match which saw only 121 overs being bowled.
Winning the toss and batting first, Bangladesh A posted 200 runs on the board in 77.3 overs. Naim Sheikh and Roqibul Hasan scored valiant fifties but none of the other batsmen got going for the hosts. Qais Ahmed, Yamin Ahmadzali and Sharafuddin Ashraf got 9 wickets between them.
In reply, Afghanistan A managed 163 runs on the board from 44 overs for the loss of 2 wickets and that is when rain interrupted the course of the match. With the rain halt, the match ended up in a draw and the series went to the visitors Afghanistan A.
