BN-Y vs IN-Y Dream11  Match Preview:

The under-19 level has always been seen as a perfect platform for the young players who know a significant jump to the national set-up is possible, provided they impress the selectors.

It’s a chance for the young prodigies of Bangladesh and India, who will be stepping up to the rostrum, with an aim to be heard with their performance. This Under-19 match will be played at Worcester, in England.

The table:

As things stand, Bangladesh are currently leading the table ahead of India, but only on a better net run rate.

Both the teams head into each other as unbeaten teams, with each of them beating England in their respective first games.

The matchup:

The favourites are certainly India, who have not lost against Bangladesh at the Under-19 level since 2015.

But this current Bangladesh team is a different animal altogether and the past results will have little or no bearings over how they approach this game.

The batting run deep, and bowling looks balanced with the right combination of fast bowlers and spinners.

India have to be at their best to get the better of their neighbours in this particular game.

BN-Y vs IN-Y Team News:

Bangladesh Under-19s

  • Bangladesh named a 15-man squad for the Under-19 Tri-Series, where the third team is host England.
  • The squad is same, with no injury problem to contend with ahead of the next match.
  • We don’t expect a change here and back the South Asian Tigers to name the same XI which featured in the last game.
  • The reason being the comprehensive win over hosts England, where the visitors executed their game plan to almost perfection.
  • However, the team management may still be tempted to flirt with the opening combo, after both Tanzid Hasan and Prantik Nawrose Nabil‘s failure to impact the scoreline in the first game. Though, it still looks highly unlikely.

India Under-19s

  • While India have travelled to England with 17 players, captained by Priyam Garg.
  • All the Indian batsmen touched the double digits in the opening game against England, with opener Yashasvi Jaiswal hitting a game-high 78 runs.
  • Captain Priyam Garg looked flawless during his 33-ball stay on the crease, where some of his shots were almost out of the coach’s manual.
  • Opener Qamran Iqbal had the shortest stay amongst the Indian batsmen, but he is expected to be given another chance here.
