Brisbane Heat are seventh on the points table with three wins and five losses. They lost their last match to Sydney Sixers by 79 runs. Bowling first, Josh Lalor took a magnificent five wicket haul to restrict Sixers at 177. However, their batsmen failed miserably and collapsed at 98 runs. B McCullum and Ben Cutting were the only positives with bat. They will hope to bounce back and get a victory over Melbourne Stars.

Melbourne Stars are fifth on points table with five wins and five losses. They won their last match against Adelaide Strikers by 44 runs. Batting first, Ben Dunk played an unbeaten knock of 72 runs and was supported by Stoinis and Handscomb who scored 53 and 36 respectively to lead team to a total of 167. Defending the target, the pace-trio of Bravo, Stoinis and Plunkett took three scalps to successfully defend the target. They will hope to continue the momentum ahead in the season and improve their standing in points table.

Matt Renshaw is likely to replace Jack Prestwidge in the playing XI. If Renshaw returns then he will be promoted above Jimmy Peirson in the batting order.

M Kuhnemann can also get a chance over Mitch Swepson.

Brendon McCullum and Max Bryant will open the innings. Chris Lynn, James Peirson and Alex Ross will follow them. Ben Cutting will play the role of finisher.

Ben Cutting, B Doggett and Josh Lalor will be the key pacers while Mujeeb will lead the spin attack.

Melbourne Stars:

They have declared 13-men squad for the match with one change. Dan Worrall replaces Lance Morris in the squad.

Ben Dunk and M Stoinis will open the innings. P Handscomb, Glenn Maxwell and Nic Maddinson will follow them.

Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Dwayne Bravo and Evan Gulbis will play the role of an all rounder.

Liam Plunkett, Jackson Bird, Marcus Stoinis and Dwayne Bravo will be the key pacers along with Evan Gulbis while Adam Zampa will lead the spin attack along with G Maxwell.

No changes are expected in their playing XI. However, There is an outside chance of pacer Dan Worrall replacing spinner Tom O’Connell in the playing XI as he is not getting enough overs to bowl.
