The table toppers Cape Cobras will be in action on Friday as they take on the third-placed Highveld Lions who are coming into this game after slumping to a 9 wicket loss against Warriors. The loss they sustained against Warriors saw them losing the numero-uno position to Cape Cobras and they now find themselves at the third position.
This match will be played at the home of Cape Cobras i.e. at the Newlands in Cape Town which will definitely give them an added advantage over their opposition. There is no doubt that both these teams are through to the knockout stages and its just a matter of the momentum as both teams do seek some momentum heading into the knockout stages.
This would be the second encounter between both these teams. Their first clash took place on 07th April at the New Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg which saw Cobras clinching a mouth-watering contest by 5 runs.
