Mavericks fell to a 117-124 loss on the road against Detroit Pistons. But Mavericks fans have all the reasons to feel optimistic for the new season. For the first time, they saw what life could be like when Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis are on the floor together. The partnership didn’t disappoint.
The duo started the game and opened the scoring as Dallas came out on to the court with all guns blazing. As expected, there were some lose passes, some miscommunications, but Dallas still looked a far better version of themselves than what we witnessed in the first game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Milwaukee Bucks, meanwhile, look well-oiled machine heading into this match. Giannis Antetokounmpo made his first appearance in the pre-season and was as lethal as he was last season. The reigning MVP scored a double-double, with 22 points and 11 rebounds and helped Bucks down Utah Jazz 133-99 at Fiserv Forum.
