This is the Final match of third season of Tamil Nadu Premier league 2018 between Dindigul Dragons and Madurai Panthers as a result of which both the team finished top of the table with ten points and qualified for the playoff of third season after the group stages, Dindigul Dragons have won against this team in the qualifier 1 and managed to qualify for the final.

On the other side Madurai Panthers have also qualified for the playoff after five win out of seven matches they have played in the group stage but they lost the qualifier 1 match against Dindigul Dragons and after that they managed to win the Qualifier 2 against Lyca Kovai Kings by 7 wickets and qualified for the final of TNPL 2018
