Durban Heat is fourth on the points table with one win and two losses. They lost their last match to Nelson Mandela Bay Giants by 9 wickets. Batting first, Their top order failed miserably but some handy knocks by Khaya Zondo, Albie Morkel, Philander and Maharaj led them to a total of 127. Vernon Philander was the only positive among bowlers taking one wicket but could not stop the Giants from chasing the target easily. They will hope to put a good show with the bat as well as ball tomorrow.

Paarl Rocks have also won one and lost two encounters. Their win came in the last match against Table-toppers Cape Town Blitz. Spinner B Fortuin bowled a magnificent spell taking four wickets and was supported by Dane Paterson who took a three-wicket haul with his lethal pace to restrict Blitz at 140. Skipper Faf scored a good fifty in the chasing effort and was supported by V Van Jaarsveld and M Moshele to provide a five-wicket win to his side. They will hope to get another win tomorrow and improve their standing in the points table.

Skipper Albie Morkel got retired hurt in the last match after suffering a blow to his hand. He will undergo a late fitness test to determine his availability for the Heat’s fourth Mzansi Super League clash with the Paarl Rocks at Kingsmead. If unfit, Sarel Erwee or Prenelan Subrayen can take his spot. We will update his fitness as soon as possible.

Hashim Amla and Morne van Wyk will open the innings. H Klassen, D Miller and Khaya Zondo will follow them. V Philander and K Maharaj will play the role of all-rounder.

V Philander, Kyle Abbott and Merchant De Lange will lead the pace attack while Keshav Maharaj will be the key spinner.

Paarl Rocks:

Michael Klinger got injured while fielding in the last match and did not come to bat. If fit, He will open the innings otherwise Batsman Patrick Kruger or Batting Allrounder Grant Thomson will occupy his slot in the middle order. Chances of Kruger are more.

Aiden Markram and Henry Davids will open the innings in absence of Michael Klinger. Faf Du Plessis and Vaughn Van Jaarsveld will follow them. Mangaliso Mosehle and David Wiese will play the role of finisher.

Dane Paterson will be the key pacer along with David Wiese. T Shamsi will lead the spin attack along with B Fortuin. Aiden Markram can also bowl few overs of spin.
