Sometime back, India’s out of sorts and out of favor batsman Murali Vijay made a comment that he wishes to go on a date with Australian women all-rounder Ellyse Perry.

Murali Vijay was in a live chat session amidst lockdown on Chennai Super Kings official handle where he revealed that she is very beautiful and will definitely have dinner with her. This raised quite a few eyebrows as the beautiful all-rounder us already married to Rugby star Matt Toomua since 2015.

Murali Vijay gets his answer from Ellyse Perry

Perry was unknown to the previous story but Ridhima Pathak told her about Murali Vijay‘s desire with whom the all-rounder was involved in a live session. Replying to this, Perry said;

“I hope he’s paying.”

“That’s very kind of him. I’m flattered,”

It was a hilarious yet sweet gesture from the 29-year old all-rounder who is craving to get on the field sooner rather than later.

Vijay also picked Shikhar Dhawan with whom he will have dinner

Not only Perry, but the opening batsman also picked his former team India opener Shikhar Dhawan with whom he will go for a dinner date.

“Ellyse Perry. I want to have dinner with her. She is so beautiful. And Shikhar Dhawan any day. He is a fun guy. Just that he will speak Hindi and I will be conversing in Tamil,”

The two lads once used to open the innings for India in Tests match cricket and have shared a great friendship bond both on and off the field.

What’s next for Vijay?

Murali Vijay last represented India back in December 2018 in India’s tour of Australia. He could only manage 20 runs from the two innings he played in his last Test. Since then, he has been dropped from the national side and it seems like we might not see him embracing India’s white uniform.

However, he is still a part of the MS Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings IPL set up and will be a part of the squad again in the upcoming edition.
