Team England defeated World T20 Champions Windies by 4 wickets in the first T20I. Batting first, West Indies were able to give a target of 161 with help of attacking 58 run knock from Nicholas Pooran. Tom Curran starred for visitors taking four-wicket haul while Chris Jordan took two scalps.

Chasing the target, Jonny Bairstow played a brilliant knock of 68 runs in 40 balls and was supported by Joe Denly to successfully chase the target. Sheldon Cottrell was the only positive for Windies taking three wickets in losing cause.

West Indies will come all guns blazing to level the series while England will be determined to continue the momentum and seal the series in the second T20I.
