After the successful completion of ICC Cricket World Cup which saw the host nation lifting the coveted title for the third consecutive time, England cricket’s domestic circuit will now start their summer with the Vitality T20 Blast which kick-starts from July 18th.
This is one of the most highly anticipated domestic franchise tournament in England cricket which will see 18 teams divided into two groups fighting for one glory. Three matches are lined up for the first day, the first match will be contested between the Essex Eagles and Middlesex at the Lord’s in London followed by matches between Nottinghamshire and the defending champions Worcestershire Rapids and Glamorgan vs Somerset.
Both Essex Eagles and Middlesex had a nightmare of a season last time around as they finished 7th and 9th respectively on the South Division table. Both teams would be eyeing for a spirited comeback by getting wins under their belt right from the word ‘go’.
