Two Western Conference rivals, with the common aim of winning the coveted title, bump into each other, as Golden State Warriors host Los Angeles Lakers in an NBA preseason game. This will be the first-ever game to be played at Warriors, new home Chase Center.
Warriors are starting afresh after Steve Kerr was forced to go for a big overhaul this summer following the departure of Kevin Durant to Brooklyn Nets. D’Angelo Russell moved to the other side as part of the deal and will be expected to take some burden off Stephen Curry.
Lakers have their own lofty ambitions this season. The least is to make the playoffs and it should be the minimum target for the 16-time NBA champions after the addition of Anthony Davis to the roster.
