A huge responsibility is resting on the shoulders of a very young batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal much like it did for Sachin Tendulkar early in his career. The under 19 Indian cricket team opener is dreaming of winning the world cup and it is not only the dream of young Yashasvi alone but a dream for many many Indians and so many of them have contributed to this young man’s career.

Sachin’s special tip!
Everyone wants to be Sachin Tendulkar but sadly there’s only one Sachin Tendulkar. Picking up Sachin’s brain is the best thing one can hope for. So Yashasvi Jaiswal had asked his batting idol some tips to make his game better. Sachin did not dissapoint.

In an interview with TOI, Yashasvi said

Sachin sir gave me valuable advice, saying, ‘Every bowler will give you a clue about what he’s going to bowl next. You’ve to concentrate and catch that clue

Yashasvi also spoke about how his coach and mentor’s advice had helped him bigtime on the all important semi final night. He had scored three 50s but didn’t convert them into big knocks which as an opener is very important.

The stylish southpaw said

Jwala sir (mentor, coach and father figure) told me to break my innings into two parts. Once I’d scored my fifty, I was supposed to think that I’m now batting on zero. That really helped me break that barrier

India battling it out in the grand finale
Yashasvi Jaiswal and his under 19 Indian cricket team members are playing the most important game of their very short career. Everyone has a bright future ahead but the most important task right now is to bring home the world cup. They have won all their games till now and have been asked to bat first in the finals against Bangladesh. India have posted a mere 177 runs on the board after batting first. It was that man Yashashvi Jaiswal who scored 88 runs and ended up as the top scorer for India.
