IND vs NZ Dream 11 Team Prediction for 3rd ODI: Preview | India eyes series win

Hello and Welcome to our preview for India vs New Zealand ODI match. We are covering IND vs NZ Dream 11 team Prediction, Preview and Probable Playing XI for the third ODI match. The match is to be played at the Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui.

Before the series began, the New Zealanders were expected to give India a run for their money as opposed to the Australians. However, the Blackcaps have been mauled by the Indians in the first two ODIs. While the hosts have bowled decently, their batting has been blown away by Kuldeep and Chahal. Another win here and India takes the unassailable lead of 3-0.

New Zealand clawed their way back after the Indian openers had posted a mammoth stand. They kept the middle order in check but conceded too much in the death overs. New Zealand’s batting lineup collapsed once again and it was the late 57 from Bracewell that helped them get to a respectable score.

Rohit and Shikhar provided a start of 154 runs in 25 overs but India could only post 324/4 as their final score. Rayudu failed to impress at number four while Kedar’s 22 from 10 balls was eye-catching. Kuldeep Yadav emerged to be the ace of the bowling attack with four wickets. Chahal and Bhuvi supported with two wickets each.

NZ will need to figure out a way to combat the spin overs of the Indian bowling. They have not only been troubled by Kuldeep and Chahal but by Kedar Jadhav also. India will miss Kohli after third ODI so they will be seeking to complete the series win in this match itself.

Team News:

India:

Virat Kohli will be rested after this ODI.

India is 2-0 up and the same playing XI is expected to be continued with the exception of Vijay Shankar.

Hardik Pandya was cleared to play and if he is fit to play, he will take up Vijay Shankar’s place.

The trio of Dhawan-Sharma-Kohli reigns supremes at the top. They will be followed by Rayudu, MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav.

Shankar or Pandya take up the all-rounder spot.

Kuldeep-Chahal will do their spin magic. Shami and Bhuvi handle the new ball.

New Zealand:

Blackcaps have struggled with the bat but their batsmen are proven quality players. Changes are not expected in the top half.

This means Munro and Guptill get another chance for the opening blaze. Williamson, Taylor, Wicketkeeper Latham and Nicholls form the batting core.

Doug Bracewell is expected to retain his place after his splendid performance.

After collapsing to spin, the Blackcaps could go in with two spinners in Ish Sodhi and Mitchell Santner.

This leaves only two spots for pace bowlers. Southee and Boult will be preferred, Ferguson can also be included in place of Southee.
