Hello and Welcome to our preview for India vs West Indies match. We are covering IND vs WI 1st ODI Dream11 Team Prediction, Preview and Probable Playing XI for the first ODI match. The match is to be played at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati.

After crushing Windies in the longest format of the game, the entourage now moves to the 50-over format. The Indian team will be backing itself to outperform the visitors while Windies have the chance to pull off an upset versus the top nation in the game.

India won the Asia Cup championship last month and went through the tournament undefeated. The final match against Bangladesh was won in the last over. A lot has changed since the game. Virat Kohli is back in the setup while Kedar Jadhav (injury) and Dinesh Karthik (dropped) will be missing. India has also given a chance to Rishabh Pant to bat in the middle order which will be very exciting to see.

Windies will be happy to move on from the Test format. Shorter the format, the better chance they have. They are bolstered by the presence of the senior players like Marlon Samuels and Kemar Roach. Windies have also named three uncapped players in the squad who performed well in the recently concluded CPL T20 Tournament.

This is the first 50-over match hosted by this venue. The ground has previously witnessed a T20I match only which was played between India and Australia last year. Team News:

India:

Shardul Thakur Ruled out from the series, Umesh Yadav named his replacement.
The 12-man squad announced for the match, does not include KL Rahul and Manish Pandey.
This means Rishabh Pant will most probably be making his debut. He will bat in the middle order.
India has two-seamers to pick from U Yadav, M Shami and Khaleel Ahmed. U Yadav owing to his Test performance will be favorite to start.
With Kohli back at three, Rayudu will bat at number four. Rohit and Shikhar will open while Pant and Dhoni will complete the batting lineup.
Jadeja, Kuldeep and Chahal will handle the spin duties.

West Indies:

Both Chris Gayle and Evin Lewis will not be participating in this tour and Windies will miss them sorely.
K Powell is likely to open the batting; however, the team will have to think hard about his partner.
Hope, Samuels and Hetmyer will handle the middle order.
Captain J Holder and Roman Powell will be the all-rounders. F Allen can accompany them if WI needs another all-rounder.
D Bishoo and A Nurse will be the two spinners. Roach will be the lead pace bowler.
