Hello and Welcome to our preview for India vs West Indies 1st T20I match. We are covering IND vs WI 1st T20I Dream11 Team Prediction, Preview and Probable Playing XI for the first T20I match of the series. The match is to be played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

Tests and ODIs are done and the show now moves to the shortest format of the game. T20I will allow WI a better chance of participation. They were blown away in the Tests but performed very well in the 50-over format. The shortest format will bring them closer to competing with the Indian team.

Even without Gayle, Lewis and Andre Russell, WI is a good team who can give a fight in the T20 format. They have someone like Kieron Pollard who has tremendous experience of playing T20 cricket in India. Others are fresh but have performed well in the CPL 2018.

Indian team has rested two big names is MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli. This will give a brilliant chance for the fringe players to perform and cement their place in the squad. The eyeballs will be on Rishabh Pant and Krunal Pandya, who have grabbed this chance in the T20 cricket.

Team News:

India:

Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni have been rested for this series.

India has announced their 12-man squad for this match. India will probably go in with three seamers again thus handing Khaleel Ahmed his T20I debut. If India opts for two seamers then, Khaleel will sit out.

Krunal Pandya is likely to make his debut as well so India could select one of the two spinners between Kuldeep and Yuzvendra. Kuldeep could get the nod with his KKR experience.

Batting will rely on Rohit, Dhawan, Rahul, Pandey, Karthik and Pant.

Windies:

Andre Russell has been ruled out of the series and will take no further part. Shai Hope has been named in the squad for his replacement.

Carlos Brathwaite will captain the side, he had struck his four sixes in the last over at this venue. He will also have the experienced players Darren Bravo and Kieron Pollard at his exposal.

Shimron Hetmyer will once again be the batsman to look out for. He had smashed a century in the recent CPL.
