India vs England: The hosts registered an innings and 25 runs win over England in the fourth test in Ahmedabad today to win the four matches series by 3-1. The win in the fourth Test also sealed a spot for India in the World Test Championship final in Lords against New Zealand. Rishabh Pant was adjudged “Player of the Match” for his crucial hundred and excellent glovework behind the wicket.
Rishabh Pant scored 101 in the first innings and rescued India who was reeling at 146-6 at one time. Pant’s match-winning knock won many hearts but what was more interesting was his cheeky reply to Harsha Bhogle in the post-match presentation.
Cricket commentator and presenter Harsha Bhogle said Rishabh Pant that people are criticizing him and telling him to shut down when Pant is behind the wickets. Replying to this, the wicketkeeper-batsman jokingly advised him to improve a bit.

Meanwhile, the visitors again looked clueless against Axar Patel and R Ashwin as the duo accounted for 10 wickets in the second innings. Both Axar and Ashwin took a fifer each in the second innings and booked England for 135, resulting in an innings and 25 runs win in the final test of the series.
While Rishabh Pant was adjudged as the Player of the Match, R Ashwin was picked as the “Player of the Series”. R Ashwin picked up 32 wickets in 4 games and also scored a ton in Chennai.
Both the teams will now switch over from the longest format of the game to the shortest one as the first of the five-match T20I series will be played on March 12 at the same venue.
