Royal Challengers Bangalore, after their loss to Chennai Super Kings will be playing their 12th league game of this edition of IPL against the defending champions and table toppers Mumbai Indians. Mumbai Indians have lost their previous game to Rajasthan Royals and they will be hoping to win this game.
There will be no doubt that this will be a high intense game and the fact that both the teams have lost their previous game will add more spice to it. With all to play for, RCB might miss the services of their Indian pace spearhead.
The express pace bowler Navdeep Saini split the webbing of his right hand in the 18th over of the game against Chennai Super Kings and he might not take the field against Mumbai Indians where he will be dearly needed to contain the monstrous hitters in MI setup.
When asked about the seriousness of the injury, the head physiotherapist of RCB, Evan Speechly said,
Saini has split his webbing in the last ball there. He obviously got hit on the thumb on the right hand. He has just split the webbing over there. Fortunately, we had a good hand surgeon, he stitched up nicely. So we could just monitor over the night and check it after getting ready for the next game
Mumbai Indians lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore in their first meeting in this season as RCB defeated them by the virtue of super over. AB de Villiers played an unbelievable knock in that game where he scored 55 off 24 balls including 4 boundaries and 4 maximums.
Mumbai Indians have never lost 2 games in a row in this edition of IPL and they have only come back harder when they have lost any game to smash the opponents in the next game. All in all, a mouth-watering contest is on cards.
