The IPL 2020 is done for all money and its time for the experts to choose their best XI of the tournament and it was the turn of Virender Sehwag who chose his best XI which raised many eyebrows as the star performers were missing in his team.
Jofra Archer was the most valuable player in this edition of IPL and he was the sole shining light for Rajasthan Royals with the ball along with Rahul Tewatia but Virender Sehwag overlooked the England pacer for Kagiso Rabada.
David Warner is one of the most brutal openers in world cricket at the moment. The southpaw was nowhere near his best in this season and yet he managed to score a whopping 548 runs at the top of the order. Virender Sehwag was not interested to open with David Warner instead he wants the SRH captain to don the finishers hat. Here’s what Virender Sehwag said to Cribuzz.
At No. 5 I’ve picked David Warner because he’s been in great form and scored runs. I was confused whom to pick as captain – David Warner or Virat Kohli – but went ahead with Kohli because he can open the innings as well as bat in the middle order,
Mumbai Indian’s #3 batsman in Suryakumar Yadav finds a place in the team for his aggressive stroke play in this season.
“He (Suryakumar) has performed brilliantly since the last three seasons and he’s shown consistency. At No. 4 I’ve picked Kohli. He always scores runs and hence I’ve given him captaincy as well. He’s an aggressive player and captain and can take the team along with him,” Sehwag added
AB de Villiers was unbelievable in this season as he gave his best and even won the games for his team from behind the back positions and Virender Sehwag had no other choice but to pick AB de Villiers ahead of Kieron Pollard and Hardik Pandya
“TheThe competition was fierce for No. 6 – Pollard and Pandya were contenders, but based on this year’s performance, I’ve picked ABD,” Sehwag concluded.
