Hello and welcome to our preview for Ireland versus India 2nd T20I match. We are covering IRE vs IND 2nd T20i Dream11 Team Prediction, Preview and Probable XI for the second match of the series.
India is playing this small two-match T20I series against Ireland before engaging in a three-match T20I series versus England. India managed to win the first T20I comprehensively still they will have to be careful before ruling out this aspiring Irish unit.
The beginning for India for was excellent, both in the match and in their innings. Their favoured limited overs duo Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma gave India a perfect start and contributed 160 runs as the opening partnership. While Dhawan was out for 74, Rohit carried the momentum. He was eventually out for just three short from his third T20I century. The middle order failed to make a mark but the total was safe once it was beyond 200.
India bowled incredibly well and kept making regular in-roads into the Irish batting line-up. The spin twins bamboozled the batsmen and picked seven wickets between themselves (Chahal – 3, Kuldeep – 4). Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar bowled well but Bhuvi ended the match wicketless.
Ireland had little joy in their bowling stint. It was Peter Chase who made a comeback of sorts by picking three Indian wickets in the final over. He took 4/35 and his wickets included Raina, Dhoni, Rohit and Kohli. Only K O’Brien could pick one more wicket. In batting, the opener James Shannon showed some resistance and scored 35-ball 60, other failed to impress.

Head to Head:

These two teams first played a T20I in World Cup 2009, England. India managed to win the match comfortably thanks to the Mumbai duo of Rohit Sharma and Zaheer Khan. Second T20I was yesterday.
Gary Wilson (c & wk), Andrew Balbirnie, Peter Chase, George Dockrell, David Delany, Andy McBrine, Kevin O’Brien, William Porterfield, Stuart Poynter, Boyd Rankin, James Shannon, Simi Singh, Paul Stirling, Stuart Thompson.
Virat Kohli (c), Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Manish Pandey, Suresh Raina, Dinesh Karthik, MS Dhoni (wk), Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Umesh Yadav, Siddarth Kaul.
With this one last go remaining at the Indian team, Ireland shall try to pick their best XI. With Shannon batting so well, Porterfield is unlikely to feature at the top spots so he may have to sit out again.
Josh Little, the 18-year old left-arm bowler, has been ruled out due to an injury, David Delany has been drafted in his place. He is unlikely to star in the playing XI.
Another aspect can be to use Andy McBrine as the all-rounder by dropping Stuart Poynter. Gary Wilson can do the wicketkeeping in Poynter’s absence.
India as always has the problem of plenty with so many great players around. The focus will be on the upcoming matches against England and India will want to play in all their players. So expect the unexpected.
KL Rahul can be tried at the opening slot by resting Shikhar Dhawan. Karthik’s inclusion at this stage looks unlikely. One of Siddarth Kaul or Umesh Yadav can be opted for in place of Jasprit Bumrah who got injured in practice session.
All the combinations depend on how team management thinks about giving practice to the players so there are lots of ifs and buts.
