Hello and Welcome to our preview for Islamabad United vs Lahore Qalandars T20 match. We are covering ISL vs LAH Dream11 team Prediction, Preview and Probable Playing XI for the PSL 2019. The match is to be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai.

It is time for another T20 League and another chance to win big. The fourth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is upon us. We have six teams who will play a total of 34 matches through the course of the tournament. Islamabad United will be the defending champions. We kick off proceedings in Dubai.

The first match is between the two teams who had highly contrasting last season. Islamabad United won the championship for the second time whereas Lahore Qalandars finished at the last position. The United team defeated Qalandars in both the matches played in 2018.

Islamabad has a new captain in Mohammad Sami this season. While he has been absent in International cricket, he has performed well in the domestic circuit. The team has kept its core group together. Shadab Khan, Rumman Raees, Asif Ali, Hussain Talat, Faheem Ashraf know how to succeed in the red uniform. The United team is renowned for its flexibility and all-around depth.

Lahore Qalandars will be positive after the failures of the last three season. This year, they have one of the most complete batsmen in the world, AB de Villiers. Also with Mohammad Hafeez, Yasir Shah, Fakhar Zaman, Anton Devcich, etc, they have a formidable unit this year. The likes of Sandeep Lamichchane and Shaheen Afridi boost the bowling department. This could finally be a year of Qalandars.

This being the first match of both the teams, the playing XI predictions are based on past results and recent performances.

Islamabad United:

Historically, Islamabad side relies heavily on its all-rounders who form the core of the side. They have mind-boggling batting depth.

Luke Ronchi has been a sensation in the T20 cricket. He was Man of the tournament last year and the highest run-getter. His opening partner could be Sahibzada Farhaan or Ian Bell or Phil Salt.

H Talat may feature in the middle order alongside C Delport.

The all-rounders in Samit Patel, Shadab Khan and Faheem Ashraf shall float in the batting order. Asif Ali will be one of the big hitters on the show.

Rumman Raees and Mohammad Sami should be the specialist pace bowlers. They will have to sacrifice a foreign player’s spot to play Wayne Parnell.

Lahore Qalandars:

They are expected to open with Fakhar Zaman and Sohail Akhtar. Anton Devich is another option; he did open the inning for Lahore in PSL 2018.

Captain Mohammad Hafeez, AB de Villiers and Brendan Taylor are likely to occupy the middle order.

Carlos Brathwaite may appear as the finisher. He will bowl medium pace as well. It will be a toss-up between him and Devcich. Devcich bowls spin.

Haris Sohail’s fitness is doubtful. Agha Salman may play in his place or they may go for an extra bowler.

Yasir Shah will be the leading spinner. Shaheen Afridi, Hardus Viljoen and one from Hassan Khan and Rahat Ali should complete the eleven.
