Jamaica Tallawahs won their first match of tournament miracly single-handedly by Captain Andre Russell. Not only he took hat-trick in last over but also while chasing the whooping total of 224, He came to bat when team was 41-5 and went on to hit 121 runs in 49 balls and finally chased the total in 19.3 overs. K Lewis also hit crucial fifty while Imad Wasim bowled a brilliant economical spell with ball. They would hope other players start performing soon and get their form ahead in the tournament.

St Lucia Stars have lost both the matches yet in tournament and would be eager to get a win unlike CPL 2017 where they did not won a single match. Lack of depth in batting has been the main reason for their defeats and would want their batsmen to perform well for team’s success.

In last match, Q Ahmed was the only positive with ball while L Simmons and K Pollard were the only performers with bat. All players need to put a good show to take team out of their streak of consecutive losses.

• No major changes are expected in line-up. However test specialist Kemar Roach who was hit for 64 runs in his four overs can be replaced by Oshane Thomas if team management wishes.
• G Phillips and J Charles will open the innings. Both are destructive batsmen.
• A Mccarty, R Taylor, R Powell and K Lewis will hold the middle order.
• R Taylor has been in good form in international circuit in recent times.
• A Russell will lead the team from front and will be key for the team both with bat as well as bowl.
• I Wasim and A Zampa will lead the spin attack. Both are in good form recently.
• A Russell, K Santokie and K Roach/O Thomas will lead the pace attack.

St Lucia Stars:

• D Sammy if fit will replace K Hodge. Also M Sami can be replaced by O McCoy or O Smith. No other change is expected.
• A Fletcher and D Warner will open the innings.
• D Warner was unlucky in last match as he was given out wrongly and would hope to play a big innga today.
• L Simmons, K Pollard and M Chapman will be key middle order batsmen.
• R Cornwall and K Hodge/D Sammy will do the late hitting.
• Q Ahmed will lead the spin attack along with R Cornwall. M Chapman and K Hodge (if plays) will also support them.
• Q Ahmed took 3 wickets in last match.
• K Williams, M Mcclenaghan, K Pollard and M Sami/O Smith/Obed McCoy will lead the pace attack.
• M Sami bowled poorly in both matches and team can try O McCoy who performed good in Canada T20 league or O Smith in his place.
