England have opted to bat first in this do or die game against Australia in the 2nd ODI here at Manchester. After having won the 1st game rather comfortably, Australians are playing an unchanged XI to wrap up the series and grab another 10 points in the ODI super league.
England are off to a horror start as the opening bowlers of Australia, have once again tied down the English openers for nothing. In the process, England lost their opener Jason Roy to a brilliant run-out effected by Marcus Stoinis.

Jason Roy’s misfortune continues

He scored just 25 runs in the 3 match ODI series against Ireland and now aggregates 24 runs in 2 games in this series. A poor judgement of single has cost Jason Roy his wicket who looked comfortable for once in this summer. Marcus Stoinis with a brilliant direct hit sent back Jason Roy to the dressing room

Curran brothers make the cut

England have gone on to make a tactical change as said by Eoin Morgan where they dropped Moeen Ali and brought in Sam Curran. They have also dropped their star pacer Mark Wood who picked 3 wickets in the 1st ODI. They are playing Tom Curran in this game who will be their 3rd pacer along with Chris Woakes and Jofra Archer.
England will be desperate for a victory in this game to stay relevant in this series as they have already lost their first game.
