The captaincy of MS Dhoni brought a new chapter in Indian cricket as he changed the face of Indian cricket after the 2007 world cup debacle. He took charge as the captain of the T20I team and within next 6 years, India had all the trophies in their cabinet that included 3 ICC trophies as well.

Meanwhile the current Indian captain and the #1 batsman in limited overs cricket Virat Kohli has been an inspiring captain in the longer format of the game but he is yet to succeed in the white ball cricket. He missed 2 great opportunities in the champions trophy in 2017 and the world cup last year where India failed to lift the cup even after reaching the final and the semi final of the event respectively.
