Dolphins who are languishing at the second-last position on the points table will next face the Knights who are still eyeing their first win of the season and reeling at the bottom of the points table. Both teams have no chance of finishing among the top four and a win or loss to any of the team here won’t make any impact whatsoever on the points table as well.
This game will be played at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein which is the home ground of Knights. This match can be termed as the battle of the minnows as both teams are already out of the contention to play in the semi-finals.
Dolphins’s only win this season came in their opening game against Knights when both these sides battled it out last time around by 4 wickets after which, they lost 3 and were involved in three rain abandoned games against Titans, Warriors and Lions.
Knights, on the other hand, were involved in 4 rain halted games against Warriors, Titans, Lions and Cape Cobras. Their last full-fledged match came against Cape Cobras on 16th April which they lost by 5 runs.
