Mumbai Indians will face off Kolkata Knight Riders in their next match of Indian Premier League in Abu Dhabi tomorrow night. Mumbai Indians have five victories from seven games and are in pretty good position and will look to clinch their sixth win of the tournament. Mumbai Indians have a balanced team as they have depth both in their batting as well as in bowling. In the bowling Trent Boult and James Pattinson have done good job so far with the new ball while in middle and death overs Jasprit Bumrah is taking the responsibility. On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders too have a powerful batting unit in Shubman Gill, Andre Russell, Eoin Morgan and Dinesh Karthik who all are match winners in this format. In bowling Varun Chakravarthy, Russell, Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Prasidh Krishna have been decent so far and Cummins is also bowling some good spells here and there.
Weaknesses :
Currently Mumbai Indians don’t have any major weakness but they will still look to work on James Pattinson’s inconsistency and Pandya brothers’ form as they haven’t performed up to their potential and if Mumbai Indians resolve all these issues then they will really be a very tough side to beat.
On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders have a few issues to resolve like the replacement of Sunil Narine whose action has been reported and not going to play coming a few matches, batting form of Andre Russell as he hasn’t played a big knock yet, poor form of Nitish Rana and batting order of batsmen like Rahul Tripathi and Eoin Morgan. And their main bowler Pat Cummins has taken only 2 wickets in 7 matches so far and that’s the biggest concern for them as he was bought for such a huge price but hasn’t come good yet.
