Bowling first, Kane Richardson and Jack Wildermuth were lethal and took three and two wickets respectively to restrict Sixers at 132 runs. M Harvey played a good knock of 30 runs in the chase but could not get support from another end thus collapsing at just 99 runs. They will hope for a better performance from batsmen in upcoming matches.

Melbourne Stars have won one and lost two encounters. They got their first victory in the last encounter where they defeated Sydney Sixers by 5 wickets. Bowling first, Jackson Coleman took three-wicket haul while Sandeep and Bravo took two wickets each to restrict Sixers at 130 runs. Peter Handscomb played a match-winning knock of 70 runs in 35 balls to ensure easy chase of the target. They will hope to defeat the inter-city rival and improve their standing in the points table.

They have announced 13 men squad for the match. Jake Fraser-McGurk and Tim Ludeman are replaced by pacer Andrew Fekete and spinner Jon Holland.

Beau Webster can take the place of Tim Ludeman in the playing XI.

Jon Holland can also get chance in place of Cameron Boyce.

Sam Harper and M Harvey can open the innings. Cameron White and Tom Cooper will follow them.

Mohammad Nabi, Dan Christian and Jack Wildermuth will play the role of allrounders.

Jack Wildermuth, Kane Richardson and Usman Khan Shinwari will be the key pacers along with Dan Christian while C Boyce/Jon Holland and M Nabi will lead the spin attack.

They have also declared 13-men squad for the match with two changes. Seb Gotch and Jonathan Merlo come into the squad replacing Peter Handscomb and Jackson Coleman.

Peter Handscomb is added to national test squad while Jackson Coleman is left out due to personal reasons.

Jackson Bird can come in the place of Jackson Coleman in the playing XI.

Jonathan Merlo can replace Evan Gulbis or Scott Boland in the playing XI.

Seb Gotch can take the spot of Peter Handscomb.

Ben Dunk and Seb Gotch can open the innings. Nick Larkin, Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis will follow them. Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis and Dwayne Bravo will play the role of an all-rounder.
