New South Wales will be led by experienced wicket-keeper Peter Nevill. They ended fourth on points table last year. This year they will be largely affected by absence of key players but still have a strong squad and will hope to challenge  mighty Western Storms.

Reigning Champions Western Storms will play their first encounter of JLT Cup 2018 at their home ground. They will hope for a similar performance like last year. And they have a brilliant squad containing many all-rounders. They will though be without their regular captain M Marsh but still have a squad strong enough to give a tough fight to any opponent. They will hope for a good start in this year’s tournament.

Captain Peter Nevil ruled out of whole JLT Cup due to thumb injury, Jay Lenton replaces him in the squad.

14 man squad has been declared. Due to national duty, M Starc and N Lyon will not be available while J Hazlewood and P Cummins are out due to injuries. One among N Larkin, T Copeland and H Conway can play.

D Hughes, K Patterson and M Henriques will be the key batsmen. D Hughes has been their top scorer from last two seasons.

J Sangha U-19 Captain can make his debut. R Gibson, S Abbott and S O’Keefe will play in late middle order for team. S O’Keefe will lead the spin department and can be supported by K Patterson. S Abbott, M Edwards and Daniel Sams will lead the pace attack of team. Moises Henriques will support them.

WESTERN AUSTRALIA :

D’Arcy Short and M Stoinis will Not play today.

They have also declared 14 man squad. Due to unavailability of their captain M Marsh due to national duty, Ashton Turner will lead the side.

J Inglis, A Turner, H Cartwright and J Wells will be the key batsmen. A Agar will be the finisher for team. He will lead the spin attack along with D Short and A Turner. A Agar is in good form recently.

J Richardson, A Tye, N Coulter Nile and J Paris will be the main pacers for them. M Stoinis and H Cartwright will also support them. N Coulter Nile is back after a long injury. A Tye and J Richardson are performing brilliantly recently for their national team.
