He is replaced by Alex Ridley. He was NZ Under-23 cricketer of the year and will take Newton’s place in the team.

They have also announced the 12-man squad for the match and it is unchanged from the last game.
Michael Rippon missed out in the last match as Otago bolstered their bowling lineup with Warren Barnes.
The move yielded positive results hence they are likely to continue with the winning combination.
Only Rutherford, Renwick and Broom batted in the last match for Otago.
