We are in the second phase of Pakistan’s tour to South Africa. Three Test matches series is done and dusted and we now have five-match ODI series coming up. Pakistan was thrashed in the Tests and conceded 0-3 loss. They are better performers in the ODIs and will hope to make a comeback.
South Africa has never won a World Cup and will be in high contention this year for the coveted trophy. The home side will treat these ODI series to plug the remaining gaps in their squad for England. They have named the squad for the first two matches only which does not include Steyn and De Kock.
Pakistan comes to life in the limited overs cricket. They are a force in the T20Is but even in ODIs; they are a good side. Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik are well complimented by the young talents of Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam. Mohammad Amir returns after a good Test series as well.
