Perth Scorchers are fourth on the points table with four wins and four losses. They defeated Melbourne Renegades by 15 runs in their last encounter. Batting first, Openers Meg Lanning and Elyse Villani were in top form scoring 72 and 65 respectively to lead the team to a total of 172. Their pace attack successfully defended the target with Heather Graham adding another two wickets to her tally. They will hope to put a similar performance against Brisbane Heat.

Brisbane Heat has won four and lost three encounters. They defeated the mighty Sydney Sixers team in their last encounter due to all-round team performance. Sammy Jo-Johnson and Jess Jonassen were the star players scoring 51 and 40 respectively to give Sixers a target of 155. Sammy also took a three-wicket haul while D Kimmince and J Barsby took two scalps each to collapse Sixers at 88 runs only. They will hope to continue the winning momentum ahead in the tournament.
