Brisbane Heat lost their first match to Adelaide Strikers by 36 runs. Bowling first, J Barsby bowled exceedingly well taking two wickets to restrict Strikers at 172. Beth Mooney and Kirby Short scored 63* and 62* in the chase but could not pace the innings and were left short by 36 runs. They will hope to give a tough challenge to Perth Scorchers tomorrow and register their first win.
