The IPL 2020 has already seen some bizarre moments. To add to that list, the recently concluded match between CSK and SRH so an unusual mode of dismissal. SRH player Rashid Khan stepped on the stumps while facing the last few crucial overs of the match. Due to that, he was forced to end his innings as he was hit out while chasing 168 against CSK.

Rashid Khan gets hit wicket

Chasing a humungous score of 168 on a slow turning pitch, SRH batsmen fell early to the outstanding bowling by CSK. Both their openers David Warner and Jonny Bairstow failed to make a good start and departed early. But Kane Williamson who followed them steadied the ship and single-handedly played an outstanding knock to take SRH nearly home. But he too fell in the 18th over for 57 runs trying to clear the long boundary. SRH almost had their hopes shattered after that wicket, but Afghan International Rashid Khan played a blinder of a knock in that same over itself to bring back the hopes of SRH fans. He scored a quickfire 14 of 8 balls before he fell in the immediate next over. His wicket happened due to a blunder that he himself is to be blamed for. Trying to create room to hit the long shots, Rashid Khan went few steps back into his crease that he hit himself onto the stumps, thereby ending his short stay at the crease through a miserable hit-wicket.

CSK wins their third match

After Rashid Khan’s wicket, SRH was nowhere in the game and they succumbed to a 20 run defeat against the mighty CSK. The men in yellow finally got back to winning ways after a string of bad performances. To change their fortunes around, they completely changed the make-up of their team. Young Sam Curran was pushed to the opening slot along with Faf du Plessis. He did his role brilliantly and for that reason, CSK is sure to stick back to this combination in the coming games as well.
