India sealed the 5 match series with a thrilling win over New Zealand in the 3rd T20I. The hero of the match for India was the Hit-Man who made a mockery of the super over bowled by Southee.

Finished the match with back to back sixes
The ICC ODI cricketer of the year Rohit Sharma who was having an inconsistent and a dry run in the T20Is off late turned the tables with magnificent hitting in the 3rd T20I which helped India to win their 1st T20I series win in the New Zealand soil.
Rohit Sharma who came to bat for India in the super over along with Rahul scored 15 runs from 4 deliveries chasing 18 runs in the super over.
The 4 time IPL winning captain said,

“Never done that before (batting in Super Over). I didn’t know what to expect, whether to go from the first ball or wait for a while. I just wanted to stay still and then try my best (on the last two sixes). Good performance with the bat, disappointed at having thrown my wicket away though. I hadn’t got runs in the first two games, wanted to do well today. We knew we would win the series today if we win the match – in important games, the main players need to step up.”

Fans and experts went crazy after the mad hitting from Rohit Sharma

Rare off-day for the BOOM!
Earlier, the Kiwis skipper Kane Williamson asked India to bat first after winning the toss. India went berserk in the first 6 overs scoring 69 runs from the power play. Rohit and Rahul ripped apart the New Zealand bowlers. Rohit in particular gave hard time for the bowlers. He reached his fifty inside the power play in just 23 balls. But the momentum shifted completely when Rohit was dismissed for 65 runs from 40 balls. Eventually India managed to put up a descent target of 180 runs for New Zealand to chase.
The blackcaps captain lead the fightback with a brilliant 95 from 48 balls but in the end couldn’t help his team to go past the line.

For India once again Jadeja was the pick of the bowlers along with Thakur. Mohammed Shami was the savior for India in the last over where he gave away 8 runs when the Kiwis needed 9 for victory and paved the way for a super over win for the Indians. It was a day to forget for the best limited overs bowler in the world Bumrah who went for 45 runs in his 4 overs without picking up any wickets.
India take an assailable 3-0 lead in the 5 match series.
