Mignon du Preez in middle order was the only one to strike authority over the Indian bowlers in the first T20I. du Preez managed to score 59 of 43 deliveries with four boundaries and three sixes in her innings.
However, Lizelle Lee and Tazmin Brits will be persisted with in terms of opening.
Laura Wolvaardt, Nadine de Klerk, and the captain, Sune Luus will be expected to take care of the middle order.
The South African bowlers did well to restrict a solid Indian batting lineup for just 130. Shabnim Ismail was the pick of the bowlers as she scalped three wickets for 26 runs in four overs.
Nadine de Klerk also chipped in with two, while Sekhukhune and Shangase picked one wicket apiece.
