SL vs SA Dream11 Team Prediction for 5th ODI: Preview

Hello and Welcome to our preview for Sri Lanka vs South Africa ODI match. We are covering SL vs SA Dream11 team Prediction, Preview and Probable Playing XI for the fifth ODI match. The match is to be played at Newlands, Cape Town.

Team South Africa is completely dominating Sri Lanka winning all four ODI matches. In the last match, Batting first Sri Lanka could only bat 39 overs and gave a target of 190 with help of an outstanding knock from Isuru Udana who scored 78 runs in 57 balls down the order for his team. Anrich Nortje starred for the hosts taking three wicket-haul while Andile Phehlukwayo took two scalps.

Chasing the target, Quinton De Kock continued his form scoring another 51 run knock and was supported by other batsmen to easily chase the target. Dhananjaya De Silva was brilliant with the ball taking three scalps in losing cause for his team.

South Africa will be determined to clean sweep the ODI series while Sri Lanka will play for it’s the pride and will hope to give a tough challenge to inform South Africa team.

JP Duminy is likely to play his last home ODI match as he is set to retire after World Cup’19.

Kusal Perera has been ruled out due to a hamstring injury.

Niroshan Dickwella is likely to return in the playing XI replacing Avishka Fernando or Upul Tharanga.

Angelo Perera can get a chance in place of Priyamal Perera.

Niroshan Dickwella and Upul Tharanga/Avishka Fernando can open the innings. Oshada Fernando and Kusal Mendis will follow them.

Thisara Perera and Dhananjaya De Silva will play the role of an allrounder. Isuru Udana can also perform with the bat.

Dhananjaya De Silva will lead the spin attack along with Akila Dananjaya/Kamindu Mendis while Isuru Udana, Kasun Rajitha and Lasith Malinga will be the key pacers along with Thisara Perera.

Akila Dananjaya can return in the playing XI replacing Kamindu Mendis.

South Africa:

Hashim Amla will miss out due to personal reasons.

Kagiso Rabada and Imran Tahir are likely to be rested again.

Reeza Hendricks has failed to perform in any match and can be replaced by Rassie Van Der Dussen.

Quinton de Kock and Aiden Markram can open the innings. Faf du Plessis, R van der Dussen (a bit risky) and D Miller will follow them. JP Duminy and A Phehlukwayo will play the role of an all-rounder.

Dale Steyn, A Nortje and Lungi Ngidi will lead the pace attack along with Andile Phehlukwayo. Tabraiz Shamsi will be the key spinner along with JP Duminy.
