Sydney Thunder won their last match against Brisbane Heat by 2 runs, Nicola Carey was the top run getter for the Thunder, scoring 26 out of their 117, Rene Ferrell was once again their bowler to go, taking 3 wickets for 19 runs in her 4 overs quota. Vakarewa was even better, taking 3 for just 17 runs.

Scorchers on the other hand had to face a defeat against Renegades in their last encounter. Apart from Ebsary, nobody was able to score past 12, and they ended up scoring  124, eventually losing by 4 wickets. Graham and Emma King were the best bowlers for Scorchers, taking two wickets each, albeit in the losing cause. both the teams will now meet at Perth, and they will like to book a place in the finals for Rebel WBBL Cup.
