Indian fast bowling spearhead Jasprit Bumrah gave a scare to the Indians fans in the 1st T20I against New Zealand when he twisted his ankle in the final over of the New Zealand Innings.

Majestic Spell from Bumrah
When every bowler was taken to the cleaners, the No:1 limited overs bowler showed why he is the undisputed king with his pin point yorkers and dipping slower ones and sharp bumpers and what not. He gave a ‘heart-in-the-mouth” moment for the whole of India when he seemed to twisted his ankle when he was bowling the final over of the New Zealand innings. The incident took place in the 2nd ball of the 20th over. The Indian physio rushed to the center to assess Bumrah and everything seemed alright and Bumrah was up and running and finished his magnificent spell of 4 overs for 31 runs and 1 wicket on a pitch where over 400 runs were scored in 40 overs.
Bumrah also took to twitter to share the happiness after the victory and also hinted that everything is fine about his injury.

Started on a winning note
Meanwhile, India completed a comprehensive victory over the depleted Kiwis chasing 204 runs inside 19 overs to take 1-0 lead in the 5 match T20I series. After Kohli asked New Zealand to bat first, the Kiwis posted a mediocre 203 runs on an absolute belter of a pitch. Indian bowlers never allowed the New Zealand batsmen to get into any rhythm whatsoever as Dube bowled brilliantly in the middle overs and returned with 3 overs for 24 runs and an important wicket of Martin Guptill. Some fireworks from Ross Taylor in the end helped Kiwis to go past 200 run mark.
India then started with Rohit and Rahul opening the innings, they lost Rohit early but KL Rahul and the skipper kept India in the game all the way through. KL Rahul got out just after hitting his 50 and a handy half century from Shreyas Iyer in the middle order ensured that India finished the game well inside 19 overs.

Auckland which hosted the 1st T20I will host the 2nd T20I as well on Sunday.
