When and Where:
TAS vs QUN
17th October 2017, 8:30 AM,
Bellerive Oval, Hobart.
For Queensland, Usman Khwaja(138) and Marnus Labuschagne(91) played brilliantly against New South Wales, but apart from them and Cutting, no other batsman was able to reach double figures. They would like to work on that. Michael Neser was the most successful bowler for them. Providing only 48 in his 9 overs, and taking a wicket. Renshaw was also economical, but didn’t get any wicket.
Tasmania’s batting department is like a well oiled machine. Everyone is contributing and scoring. Bailey being the best of them. He, along with Doolan ane Wade are backbone of their team. They are scoring big regularly. In their last match, 4 bowlres took 2 wickets each, and all of them were economical, too. Boyce and Dunk being the most impactful.
Players to Watch:
Usman Khwaja: At any point in the tournament, this batsman cannot be taken lightly. Now that he is scoring regularly and scoring big, he can be a very dangerous batsman for the opposition.
Matt Renshaw: Matt Renshaw opens the batting, and bowls with accurate line-lengths. He can be a very handy player in a tricky situation, and performs well in both the departments.
George Bailey: Scoring big amount of runs consistently is George Bailey’s thing. He’s timing the ball beautifully, and has the intent to stay on the crease for longer periods of time.
Ben Dunk: A proper batsman, a handy bowler, and captain’s go-to man, Ben Dunk is proving his worth in the tournament. He must be charged up for TAS vs QUN.
Tim Paine and Fekete back into JLT Cup Squad. Tim Paine Returns in TAS Squad after international duties and he Replace Charlie Wakim in the Squad. While Fekete added in the Squad after recover from ankle Injury and Replace Sam Rainbird in the Squad.
