USA will square off against UAE in the last T20 International of two-match series which will be played at ICC Academy Ground In Dubai on Saturday, i.e. on 16th March. USA has never played any T20 matches before.
Sadly, the 1st T20 was called off because of heavy rain. Having to opt bat first, the USA in their 1st ever T20 International match invaded the pitch with lots of confidence and they were able to score 152 runs with the loss of 7 wickets in 15 overs. S Taylor’s unstoppable knock of 72 runs of just 39 balls and Roy Silva’s destructive appearance of 25 runs in just 7 balls, helped the USA to set up a decent total for UAE. UAE came on to bat in the second innings, but were reduced to 20 of 2 in just 3 overs after which the stadium was covered with clouds all around.
Both, the United States and UAE are surely an underdog and would want to be talked about in International cricket. The USA team has become the 29th team to play a T20 game in men’s cricket. Also, they are now 105th Associate Member of the ICC. The USA is playing its first-ever T20 match and they have a valid chance to prove others their capability.
Talking about UAE, the team seems strong in their home soil, and they have such players who could alone snatch victory from the opponent’s hand. Return of Veteran, Rohan Mustafa is like icing on the cake for UAE, he can be dangerous with both, bat and bowl. Mohammad Naveed and Sultan Ahmed are capable of taking wickets of any batsmen.
