The United States of America will next face Namibia in the 4th match of ICC World Cricket League Division Two 2019 match which will be played at the Wanderers Cricket Ground in Windhoek. Namibia played their opening game against Papua New Guinea, whereas, the United States were up against Oman in their opening match of the season.
Namibia were victorious in their opening game by 3 wickets after a low scoring contest ended up with Namibia marginally crossing the line. Batting first, Papua New Guinea were able to get a mere 118 on the board as they were bowled out in 42.1 overs. JJ Smit, Jan Frylinck and Craig Williams got three wickets each, whereas, Bernard Scholtz got one wicket to his name.
While chasing, Namibia got many hiccups on their way but eventually got over the line with 3 wickets to spare. Jan Frylinck’s unbeaten 23 from 20 deliveries down the order got them over the line.
The USA locked horns against Oman in their tournament opener but did not get off to a winning start alike their counterparts. They could only manage 148 on the board which was easily chased by Oman in 47.5 overs with six wickets at the helm.
