India have suffered a proper hammering at the hands of the Kiwis. The Blackcaps were nowhere near their best playing XI but still managed to whitewash the Indian team who were in the red hot form. Indian batters were exposed to the seam and swing possessed by the inexperienced New Zealand attack led by the veteran Tim Southee.
India have been completely outplayed by the runners up of the world cup in almost all the departments of the game.

Fielding was not upto the international standards- Virat Kohli
India’s recent concern has been shifted from no:4 spot to the fielding department. The ground fielding, catching, throwing everything has been wayward in the recent few series. It is a very disappointing thing as fielding is one thing which can be controlled but Indians have made a mess of it in the recent past.
Here’s what Virat Kohli had to say about India’s fielding

All three games, the composure and the way we fielded wasn’t good enough for international cricket

The Indian skipper was very happy about the proceedings of the Indian middle order and the way Shreyas Iyer and Rahul came back everytime when they were under the pump. The only positive for the India in the series was the skill set showcased by the Delhi capitals skipper Shreyas Iyer who was top notch and has definitely put the no:4 debate to rest.

Virat Kohli sets his eyes on the WTC
India will play the Kiwis in a 2 match test series that will be included in the all important world test championship where India are leading the table. The Kiwis pocketed the ODI series but it will be a different ball game in the longest format of the game as India is the #1 side for the past 3 years.
Virat Kohli was seen confident about the upcoming test series

We have a really balanced Test team and we feel we can win the series here, but we need to step on to the park with the right kind of mindset,
