Commentator Aakash Chopra has come up with a new segment with his good old friend and former Indian left-arm seamer Ashish Nehra. The two were involved in a video session on Skype and were seen discussing many things related to cricket and their old days.

The session was nothing but a treat for ‘Nehra Ji’ fans amidst lockdown as the veteran seamer is considered as one of the coolest personnel of Indian cricket. However, the highlight of the session was when Ashish Nehra had to pick between MS Dhoni and Sourav Ganguly as his best captain. The former pacer was quick to answer this and termed both iconic figures great in their own dynamics.

Watch what Ashish Nehra had to say

The session started with reliving old days as both Aakash Chopra and Ashish Nehra hail from New Delhi wherein they started playing cricket at the school level.

The conversation then went onto different topics, but the one to grab eyeballs was to the big decision he had to make between Sourav Ganguly and MS Dhoni as the best captains he had played under.

Aakash Chopra posted the video on his official Insta handle with a caption;

“Finally bringing you the one and only Ashish Nehra, one of the funniest people you’ll ever meet. At the same time, he’s one the most dedicated and hard-working cricketers I’ve come across.
So here I am, chatting with an old teammate of mine, about some wonderful memories, the challenges of being a cricketer and much more, on today’s special episode of #AakashVani.
This is Part 1 of a two-part series. Part 2 should be with you in a couple of days guys, so do stay tuned.”

Both posses a different mindset, Nehra on MS Dhoni and Sourav Ganguly

Ashish Nehra is among the few players who has played for India under different captains. Starting from Mohd Azharuddin, he has played under Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, MS Dhoni, and even Virat Kohli.

Talking about the mindsets of both Ganguly and Dhoni, the 42-year old emphasized on the fact that both leaders knew how to back their players and motivate them, which is essential in the long run. Both have a different mindset but they know how to create match winners.

The second part of this video will be out soon, which means the ‘Nehra Ji’ fans are up for yet another treat soon.
