TKR have successfully managed to clinch the trophy for yet another time in this year’s CPL that happened amongst lots of uncertainties. They were clearly the standout team in the competition and finished their campaign unbeaten after having played 12 games including final and semi-final.

In the all-important game in final, junior Bravo showed why he is regarded as the unfulfilled potential in the Caribbean cricket circuit as he played a very good inning under pressure to hit the winning runs for his team. In the process, he made a mockery of the bowling of Javelle Glenn that went viral in social media.

Darren Bravo schooled Javelle Glenn

TKR were chasing a tricky target of 155 to become the champions but they started off on a disappointing note as they lost 2 wickets before scoring their 13th run and it was the experienced duo of Darren Bravo and Lendl Simmons who weathered the storm and they hung in there till the end to take advantage of lesser bowlers who were to follow thereafter.
Darren Bravo was batting on 23 runs from 32 balls and was waiting for the right opportunity to pounce on his favourable matchup and Darren Sammy gave the ball to Javelle Glenn and Darren Bravo raced away to 36 of 36 from 23 of 32 balls.

During the over, Javelle Glenn tried to frustrate Darren Bravo as he pulled out of his run-up and did a cheeky gesture as one can see in the video but junior Bravo thrashed the very next ball to a massive six over deep mid-wicket to school the bowler.

TKR becomes the champions for 4th time

The West Indies white-ball captain led Kieron Pollard team have clinched the trophy for the 4th time and it was none other than the captain himself who led from the front as he took 4 wickets in the game. He took 4 wickets for just 30 that proved to be a turning point as TKR restricted SLZ to a total which they chased comfortably.
Kieron Pollard was awarded the man of the series award for his magnificent all-round performances where he scored 207 runs to go with his handy wickets in the later half of the tournament.
