Former South African skipper Faf du Plessis has revealed his favorite IPL moments with Chennai Super Kings. Faf du Plessis took CSK’s Youtube channel to reveal his favorite CSK moments after accepting Suresh Raina’s challenge #MyIPLMoment. Faf recalled quite a few moments from his journey with CSK but chose MS Dhoni’s knock against RCB in 2019 as his favorite IPL moment.
Faf revealed that their skipper MS Dhoni’s knock of 84 runs against RCB played in IPl 2019 is the most favorite IPL moment of him. In case you didn’t know. After winning the season opener against RCB in a one-sided game, CSK faced them again in the reverse fixture at M. Chinnaswamy. CSK won the toss and opted to bowl first. Their bowler did well to stop RCB on an average score of 161. However, CSK had a poor start to the chase, and they crumbled at 28-4 inside the first 6 overs. Entered the ‘Thalaiva’ MS Dhoni and he went on to score 84 not out off just 48 deliveries. However, RCB managed to keep their nerves as they sneaked a victory by a margin of 1 run.
Faf du Plessis also mentioned other notable moments as well. He picked Suresh Raina‘s knock of 100 not out against KXIP in IPL 2013 at Chennai as one of his favorite IPL moments. He also mentioned the special knock played by the West Indies all-rounder in the IPL 2018 opener against Mumbai Indians. CSK were down and out of the game chasing a target of 166 at a point of time. But Bravo’s blistering knock of 68 runs of 30 deliveries including 7 sixes won the game for CSK by 1 run. Faf also mentioned Shane Watson’s hundred as one of his most favorite IPL moments.
